Matthew 21:33-46 The Parable of the Vineyard
Jesus.
Sent as a servant.
Abused and violated by a violent world.
What is rejected becomes chief.
What is abused and mistreated becomes powerful.
Us.
Sent as servants.
Abused and violated by a violent world.
What is rejected becomes chief.
What is abused and mistreated becomes powerful.
It's not my expected role.
It's not my desired destination.
It's not the anticipated outcome.
It's not the logical path.
And yet in the midst of pride it's the role we are to assume.
And yet in response to violence we still are called to go.
And yet in response to rejection we are to persevere.
And yet in response to abuse we are to offer ourselves.
What?
Our lives...
Our stories of encountering Christ...
An experience with Christ through the Fruits of the Spirit...
Our presence in spite of ______________________...
No limits!
No boundaries!
No "you've gone to far!
No "I'm done!
No revenge...
No attacking...
No "power plays"...
No campaigns...
We go as servants...into danger...offering our (His presence)...willing to lose all.
The way of Jesus.
The way of me?
